Major Live Stream Update

We’ve been working on an exciting update for live stream customers — and it’s now live. Here’s what’s new:

Studio

  1. Clip Videos: Trim a recording down to just the sermon, or pull short clips out for social media.
  2. Chapter Links: Let viewers jump to specific parts of a video — perfect for marking where the sermon starts, the worship begins, or any other section.
  3. Closed Captions: Upload a VTT file to add closed captioning to any recording.
  4. Thumbnail Editor: Pick a frame from your video (or upload your own image) and add custom text right on top.
  5. One-Click Optimize: Shrink your video files for the web without losing quality.
  6. Combine Clips: Stitch together multiple clips into a new video — great for sermon highlight reels.
  7. Embed Codes: Grab ready-to-paste embed code for video or audio, for your website or anywhere else.
  8. Share with Timestamps: Send a link to any moment in a sermon by adding ?t=24 (or ?t=1:23) to the URL.

Connection

  1. Browser Streaming: Start a live stream right from your browser — no extra software needed.
  2. Stream URL & Key: Connect any live streaming software or hardware with one-click copy of your stream URL and key.
  3. Restreaming: Simulcast your live stream to your website and any combination of YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, LinkedIn, Vimeo, Kick, TikTok, or X — all at once.
  4. Speed Testing: Test your internet connection and get recommended stream settings based on your actual upload speed.

Upload

  1. Upload Videos: Add existing videos to your library — handy for pre-recorded sermons, announcements, or anything else.

Live Page

  1. Placeholder: Decide what visitors see when you’re not streaming — an image, a solid color, a video of your choice, or your last live stream on repeat.
  2. Text Overlay: Add a custom message like “The stream begins at 10 AM” with full control over color and font size.
  3. Countdown & Schedule: Publish your live stream schedule with an optional countdown to the next service.
  4. Live Embed Code: One-click copy of your live stream embed for use anywhere on the web.

Stats

  1. Detailed Metrics: See stream duration, peak viewers, total unique viewers, and average watch time for every stream.
  2. Viewer Timeline: For any stream from June 8, 2026 onward, click View to see how viewership rose and fell minute by minute.

Usage

  1. Space Usage: See exactly how much of your storage you’re using at a glance.
  2. Auto-Optimize: Have every new recording optimized automatically — saves storage with zero manual steps.
  3. Auto-Delete Old Videos: Optionally remove videos older than a set number of days. Use with caution — deletions are permanent.

Player Improvements

  1. Click to Unmute: When a live stream starts muted (browsers do this by default), viewers see a big, clear button to turn the sound on.
  2. Playback Speed: Recorded videos can now be played at faster (or slower) speeds — handy for catching up on a missed sermon.
  3. Auto-Thumbnails: Every recording automatically gets a thumbnail pulled from the video, so your sermon archive always looks polished.
  4. Deep-Link to Any Moment: Share a sermon starting at the exact second you want — just add ?t= and the time to any sermon URL.
