On 7/12/2020 a new views column was added to all blog posts, web pages, sermons, and events. That column will show a count of the number of views for that item since 7/12/2020. You can also click the views column heading to sort based on the number of views. Click it once and it’ll sort them lowest to highest click it again and it’ll sort highest to lowest.
One note on events. A view is only counted if someone clicks to view the single event’s page. Many times people can get all the information they need about an event from the calendar or event list. So they may not click to see the event’s page. So I would expect the event views to be lower than you might expect.
You can also display the views count on a web page if you’d like visitors to see the views count. With this text:
Anywhere you put that string of text on a page [hitcount] will be replaced by the number of views for that page. You can add this to a page builder heading module and for the text put in something like:
Page Views: [hitcount]
And on the site it’ll show Page Views: 1000 for example.
