All computers come with an email program. Any of them will work to check your mail. Outlook is a popular option, but Thunderbird mail is what most people in our office use. It's free and works great. It also has a good spam system. But again any email program will work.

Check mail using web based email (webmail).
I personally wouldn't use webmail as my main email access. Many people do, so it may be a good fit for you.
